AUSTIN, Texas — Austin ISD is launching a new naming sponsorship program to bring more money into the district and help address the nearly $100 million budget deficit.

It's a partnership with the local nonprofit Austin Ed Fund, where businesses and organizations can purchase naming rights for several district facilities.

"Like many school districts right now, we're looking at how to save money," said Michelle Wallis, the executive director of the Austin Ed Fund. "The naming sponsorship program has evolved as a strategy that we want to take a run at and see how we do with raising sponsorship dollars."

During an AISD board meeting last November, Superintendent Matias Segura laid out several ways to reduce their 2025-26 budget, including naming rights as one solution .
