BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center has partnered with Filipina artist Venazir Martinez to unveil a new mural in North Baton Rouge, aiming to amplify minority voices in cancer research.

It can be found at the historic Cosey's Barbershop, located at 1640 Plank Road.

Martinez explains that the artwork symbolizes shared experiences and connections, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and unity.
