I’m also unaware of a station where its legendary weatherman, Bill Hall, also had his own fishing show. His successor, Chief Meteorologist Lisa Spencer, does back deck forecasts every day with her dogs. Our longtime morning anchor, Holly Thompson, was once surprised on her birthday with a call on the air from Dolly Parton, telling her about WSMV: “That’s my station. You’re my girl.”
And, of course, there were Rudy Kalis’ sweaters. A sports anchor who ditched a coat and tie for colorful sweaters each night.
