OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - A job fair on Tuesday at UW-Oshkosh, titled “Breaking Barriers, Building Futures,” is aimed at helping employers and job seekers connect.

Part of the event on Tuesday showcased the tight labor market with panelists showing how employers can engage job seekers who were previously incarcerated or may have other barriers to employment, such as mental health challenges or disabilities.

“We want to help companies do better with making sure they’re engaging anyone who’s interested in getting a job, so this is a connection point for them to do just that,” Bobbi Miller, business solutions manager at Fox Valley Workforce Development Board Inc., said.
