EAST BRIDGEWATER — A sprained ankle prevented Ella Lang from playing when East Bridgewater fell to Sandwich earlier this season.

But when the two sides met again Tuesday, Lang made her mark in a pivotal way.

The senior captain and midfielder for the Vikings netted a hat trick as EB took its fourth win over its last five games with a 4-2 decision against the Blue Knights.

“Her being back is a huge difference, just the energy she brings, the soccer IQ she brings. She really does make a difference,” first-year EB coach Brooke Cavino said. “She wants to win. She’s very hungry for it. … She really brings something to our offense, and she makes everyone else really want to get their opportunities, too.”
