BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The city of Brownsville has installed internet access to two of its city parks, making it accessible for residents.
Sean De Palma, Parks and Recreation Director for the city of Brownsville, told ValleyCentral that the city has a partnership with LitFiber, which will bring high-speed internet throughout the entire city.
"One of the aspects of this initiative is to bring high-speed internet to our park system, so people have free Wi-Fi when they come and visit our parks," Palma said.
The city has installed internet access at Dean Porter Park and Linear Park and plans to expand the initiative to all 46 of the city's parks.
