INDIANAPOLIS — Imagine "Shark Tank," but all medical and life science companies pitching innovative life-saving ideas.

It's exactly what Indiana University Launch Accelator for Biosciences and venture capitalist, Plug and Play, started Tuesday.

Twelve startup biomedical companies came from across the world to pitch their startups to IU LAB and Plug and Play for ideas such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, therapeutics, diagnostic devices and more.

Rachel Zayas, CEO of Aged Diagnostics, said this is the opportunity they need to take their idea to the next level.

"You have to be in the room. You have to be in the room with partners. We know Plug and Play has a plethora of connections with pharmaceutical companies, and what we want is to be present," Zayas said.
