Police arrested a Gillette man on Sept. 22 for allegedly strangling his wife. Before he was taken to jail, he asked police to grab some cash out of his safe, and when they did, they also found nine guns, which they later learned he was not allowed to have because he’s a convicted felon.
Kevin Peterson has been charged in Circuit Court with strangulation of a household member, domestic battery and nine counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
On Sept. 22, a woman called the police to report that her husband, Peterson, had assaulted her.
She had a swollen left eye and fresh bruising under her eye. She also had redness on the left side of her neck, and scratches all over her neck.
