NEW ORLEANS — We are shining a spotlight on a woman who is quietly doing not one, but two jobs.
One of our viewers believes she is making a significant difference in people's lives, so she brought it to our attention.
Sue Cain is the one behind the scenes in the Touro Infirmary Oncology Department, handling denials and ensuring that medical insurance pays for chemotherapy.
“I will fight that 'til the end. Ninety-nine percent of the time, we will get something approved,” said Sue Cain, the prior authorization manager at the LCMC Cancer Center.
