ALIQUIPPA, Pa. —

Police officers and school administrators monitored and surveyed Hopewell Memorial Junior High School Tuesday after a reported threat later turned out to be "non-credible."

In a release from Superintendent Jeff Beltz, a "non-specific written statement/threat referencing a 'bomb' was discovered on a bathroom stall by students at the Junior High School." Advertisement

Upon receiving the report, school administrators contacted the Hopewell Township Police Department, which later determined the written statement to be "non-credible."

Beltz said police officers and administrators surveyed and monitored the building afterwards out of an abundance of caution. All school operations and classes continued as normal.
