ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
An accused shoplifter got some extra charges added when she was arrested at a department store on Sept. 25.
According to court documents, Vista Scott, Kaitlin Jacobs and Christina Neal tried to steal $2,000 worth of merchandise at a Target store on Paseo Del Norte NE near Interstate 25.
When Albuquerque Police Department officers arrived, Scott and Jacobs tried to get away in a car driven by Neal but were not able to. They got out of the car, and Jacobs surrendered without incident, the documents said.
Scott ran and grabbed a 3-year-old boy, later identified as her son, then sat on the ground holding him and refusing to let go. Detectives managed to separate the child from Scott. who was taken into custody. Jacobs and Neal had already surrendered, the documents said
