As a Hall of Fame safety and Super Bowl champion, John Lynch knows what winning defense requires.
And in Sunday’s 26-21 home loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the 49ers general manager didn’t see nearly enough of it from his team.
“Well, you know you have to hit the quarterback in this league, to force them to put the ball in harm’s way,” Lynch told KNBR’s “The Murph & Markus Show” on Tuesday. “That’s something we pride ourselves on … that’s the key to defensive football: to make the quarterback uncomfortable. I don’t think we did a good enough job of that.”
