OVERLAND PARK, Kan. —

Two residents of an Overland Park, Kansas, memory care facility were injured in an assault on Tuesday.

The Overland Park Police Department said crews were called around 8 a.m. to a long-term care facility near 75th Street and Switzer Road. Advertisement

A 66-year-old man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, while a 71-year-old man was also hospitalized.

He has non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe an 84-year-old resident was responsible for the attack.

He is cooperating with police.
