WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Two attempted murder suspects from Vermont are currently behind bars in Massachusetts, following a nine-day search across multiple states.

According to Vermont authorities, tips from the public and a “be on the lookout” alert led mass state troopers to pull over a pick-up truck in West Springfield Monday.

Inside were 36-year-old Justin French and 33-year-old Kayla Cabey who had reportedly stolen the truck from a homeowner they burglarized, assaulted, and robbed in Vermont earlier in the day yesterday.

The pair had been on the run since September 20 for a road rage incident in which they allegedly shot at a person they knew.
