WESTLAKE, Ohio (WJW) - A large scale manhunt was set into motion early Saturday morning, after police in Westlake spotted three men dressed in black and wearing gloves and masks walking along Hilliard Boulevard.

Investigators said the men matched the description of prowlers suspected of stealing cars and valuables from unlocked vehicles in Rocky River and other surrounding communities.

One of the men obeyed police commands and stopped, but the other two ran. Officers had good reason to be cautious as they approached the first suspect.

"We have video from other communities that shows they're actually using their gun lights to look through cars. It's super dangerous, not only if a policeman runs across them, but what if the resident comes out and now these guys have guns in their hands?"
