HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -- Harrisburg City Council voted unanimously to give millions of additional dollars to the Broad Street Market restoration.

The market burned down more than two years ago, and little has changed at the property since then. With estimated restoration costs hovering above $20 million, the city said it needed more support from city council, which Mayor Wanda Williams blamed for being a hinderance to the project.

Tonight, it didn't seem that way. The council voted 6-0 to allocate an additional $14.4 million to the project, bringing its total contribution to $19.1 million. The money comes from uncommitted and unspent budget appropriations and city revenue.
