HERRIN — It was thrice as nice for the Nashville Hornettes girls golf team Tuesday, earning first-place honors at the Class 1A Herrin Regional — 19 strokes ahead of runners up Trico and Steeleville.

Nashviille finished with a team score of 339. Both Trico and Steeleville carded a 358, which led to a tie-breaker. The Pioneers were granted second place based on a better score from their fifth golfer.
