It's time to grab your flannel and head to California corn country, where the stalks are high and the maze is mighty.

Cool Patch Pumpkins in Dixon has just opened for its 24th season.

It’s ready to challenge your sense of direction, all while honoring the people who make it all happen: farmers!

Every year, they switch things up with a brand-new theme.

Previous seasons honored veterans and first responders with giant murals included in the maze design.

The theme this year, "Farmers, the Heart of America," is a tribute to the hard-working folks who put food on our tables.

The ear-mazing labyrinth is no easy stroll with several miles of twists, turns, and dead ends.

Even the most seasoned maze-goers are known to get a little lost, with most visitors requiring a map, and an hour or two, to find their way through.

Back in 2007 and again in 2014, Cool Patch Pumpkins earned a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest corn maze at over 60 acres.

While a corn maze in Quebec, Canada surpassed them in 2022 with a 66-acre monstrosity, Cool Patch Pumpkins still proudly claims to have the largest corn maze by acreage in the U.S.

Others around the country, including in Minnesota and Illinois, promote longer trails by mileage within their corn mazes.

Cool Patch Pumpkins also has other corn-related activities on site, including freshly-popped popcorn and a corn bath for toddlers, featuring more than 150 thousand pounds of dried corn.

The corn maze in Dixon, just outside Sacramento, stays open through Halloween.
