WILLIAMSPORT — A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit over Williamsport police keeping a seized vehicle about a month after a search warrant used to seize it expired.
U.S. Middle District Judge Julia K. Munley on Tuesday granted summary judgment to the city of Williamsport, police Chief Justin Snyder, former captain Joshua Bell and Agent Christopher Salisbury.
The suit brought by Farrah Kelly stems from Salisbury seizing her SUV on April 5, 2022, after obtaining a warrant to search it for weapons and clothing in a shooting investigation. Nothing was found.
