IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - In the fourth quarter against Indiana, with the score tied at 13, Iowa offensive coordinator Tim Lester called a screen pass.
The connection between quarterback Hank Brown and running back Kamari Moulton was off, the pass was dropped, and Iowa missed the go-ahead field goal from 42 yards out.
Lester said everything about the play worked well, exception the execution.
“Oh it was there. It was a touchdown if we executed it,” said Lester. “We were already in field goal range, so I was trying to think what kind of safe call can I have for the quarterback since we’re already in field goal range? He just kind of fell away, and the ball got away from him, and he missed the throw.”
