There are still a lot of boxes to tick, but after having nowhere to race for over 15 months, a local club could soon have a new multi-million-dollar hub to call home.

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) has submitted a development application to Tamworth Regional Council (TRC) to construct a new track on the outskirts of the city.

To be built along Burgmanns Lane, the proposed state-of-the-art facility will feature a 400-metre straight track, kennels and associated infrastructure, broadcaster and judges' area, indoor and outdoor dining, a bar, viewing facilities, and car parking.
