New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday released a specially designed commemorative postage stamp and a coin highlighting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) contribution to the nation at event organised to mark the centenary celebrations of the Hindutva organisation.

Alongwith PM Modi, the event was also attended by Sangh’s ‘sarkaryavah’ (general secretary) Dattatreya Hosabale, Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Delhi CM Rekha Gupta among others.

What PM Modi said at RSS event?

During the event, PM Modi said he considers himself lucky that he was able witness the 100 years of RSS. He also paid tributes to the Sangh’s founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.
