This is not going to make me popular with my countrymen, but it has to be said: Folks, an H-1B visa is not an entitlement. It’s something you get IF you have the skills that are truly valuable to the United States of America. So, rave and rant we can, but the Trump administration is perfectly right to end a decades-long abuse of this work visa. As I said recently on the News9 channel, American people did not elect President Donald Trump so that foreign workers could live the American Dream. They elected him to guarantee theirs. (Whether his policies end up ensuring that and whether foreign workers help build the American Dream, is a different debate.)
