Greater Noida: A massive fire broke out in a multi-storey building at Vrindavan Garden in Shahberi, Greater Noida West, on Wednesday. Within minutes, the flames spread rapidly, engulfing the structure and causing panic among residents.

Upon receiving the alert, police and fire brigade teams rushed to the spot. Residents trapped inside the affected flats were evacuated safely with the help of emergency services. Several fire tenders were deployed and remain engaged in efforts to bring the blaze under control.

Preliminary reports suggest that the fire originated due to negligence while lighting a diya, during a ceremonial religious ritual of Durga Navami. The blaze destroyed household goods worth several lakhs of rupees.
