MADONNA has revealed she “contemplated suicide” during her custody battle for her son Rocco with ex-husband Guy Ritchie.

The singer, 67, told the On Purpose podcast: “There were moments in my life where I wanted to cut my arms off.”

She said: “One of the most painful was a custody battle with my son. I actually contemplated suicide. I was like, I can’t take this pain anymore.”

The fight erupted in 2015 after Rocco , then 15, remained in London with his film director dad Guy after visiting the UK with Madonna on her world tour and refused to return to the US to be with his mum for Christmas.
