Jurors in the landmark sexual abuse trial against the Delbarton School heard conflicting portraits Tuesday of the man who brought the case.
In depositions read into the court record, the former student's mother described how he broke down in tears in 1977 after she confronted him about his rude behavior toward the Rev. Richard Lott. She later found out that the cleric had allegedly abused T.M. when he was a 15-year-old at the all-boys school in Morris Township.
But defense attorneys also presented testimony from the alleged victim's brother, who said his sibling likes to "make himself look good at someone else's expense."
The two depositions were entered into the record as the trial in Morristown moves toward its conclusion. The plaintiff, identified only as "T.M." and now in his 60s,
