BEAUFORT, S.C. (WCSC) - Beaufort Police are asking anyone with information on a shooting that killed one victim Monday night to come forward.

Police say the shooting happened at approximately 8:53 p.m. Monday in the 330 block of Robert Smalls Parkway.

Officers responded to a call about shots fired, but say they found one victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim later died at an area hospital.

Investigators have not yet released a description or possible motive in the killing.

The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the name of the victim.
