September has come to a close, and the data shows it was both warmer and drier than normal. October usually marks the peak of fall in the Ozarks, but the warm, sunny, and quiet weather looks to carry on into early October.

Today will be warm with plenty of afternoon sunshine. Temperatures will climb to the mid to upper 80s again this afternoon with a very light southeast breeze.

We'll toss in a chance for an isolated shower Thursday afternoon, at least for areas well south of the interstate. This is thanks to a wave of more humid air spreading in from the southwest.
