ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - Happy October! It is chilly to start this month, but sunshine makes it feel not so bad. Temperatures are stuck in the 50s and lower 60s.
Clear and calm into Thursday will mean temperatures into the 30s and some patchy fog and/or frost at higher elevations across the Adirondacks and Southern Tier. The sun emerges and we get into the middle 60s.
The high pressure bubble settles off the coast of Long Island Friday. This brings back the southwest flow and temperatures respond accordingly. Friday gets to the middle 70s and Saturday into the 80s. Clouds may increase a bit, but no rain comes. The 80s last both Sunday and Monday before coming back down with a potential cold front Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
