LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — One person is dead after a shooting in Lexington on Tuesday.

The Lexington Police Department said around 8:15 p.m., officers were sent to a home in the 500 block of East Seventh Street for a reported shooting.

When officers arrived, authorities found a victim who had been shot.

The victim was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the decedent’s name.
