STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — It’s clear that the Curtis Warriors learned from their hefty 6-2 defeat at the hands of the New Dorp Centrals earlier this season, turning in a far stronger performance on Tuesday evening to earn a 3-3 draw as the visiting side.
After entering halftime tied 1-1, the Warriors twice fell behind—first 2-1, then 3-2—but battled back each time, using well-timed counterattacks to offset limited possession, much to the delight of head coach Cadence Turner.
“We’re playing more like a team every game,” Turner said after the contest.
