CLINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) - An 82-year-old driver is dead after her 2004 Lincoln Town Car crashed into a tree in Clinton County overnight, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

It happened on State Route 73 southeast of State Route 350 in Clinton County’s Green Township at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, troopers said in a news release.

The preliminary investigation determined that the Lincoln ran off the left side of the road for some reason.

The vehicle hit landscaping rocks and then the tree.

The driver, Joyce Gwinn of Kettering, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers say.

The crash remains under investigation.
