COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - At a special College Station city council meeting on Monday, members discussed a new proposal to place a multi-event center in Hensel Park, combining convention space with athletics, concerts, and community events.

This comes after years of brainstorming ideas to revitalize Hensel Park.

In February, College Station City Councilman Scott Shafer presented design concepts that would transform the space into a natural park with connecting trails and new playgrounds.
