Judge Maria Lazar
WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- District II Court of Appeals Judge Maria Lazar announced Wednesday, Oct. 1 that she will run for the open seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court previously held by Justice Rebecca Bradley.
Lazar released a campaign video outlining her bid, saying she wants to bring impartiality and integrity to the court. She has served on the Court of Appeals since 2022, following seven years on the Waukesha County Circuit Court.
Before joining the bench, she worked more than 20 years in private practice and five years as an assistant attorney general at the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
