TRUSSVILLE — On Tuesday, Decisions, Choices & Options , a group that promotes the teaching of sexual risk avoidance for youths, held its third annual dinner at Crosspoint Church.

The dinner featured State Rep. Susan DuBose (R-Hoover) and State Sen. Shay Shelnutt (R-Trussville), two advocates of sexual risk avoidance education in Alabama's schools. Attendees were also treated to a video message from conservative activist Riley Gaines, a staunch advocate for keeping men out of women's sports.

The mission statement of Decisions, Choices & Options, which started in 2002, reads, "We empower all youth with Sexual Risk Avoidance education by providing medically accurate programs that guide them to optimal health in every area of their lives."
