Tamika Upton has claimed her second Dally M Medal with the fullback rewarded for a dominant return to Brisbane.

Fresh off leaving the Newcastle Knights at the end of last year for personal reasons, Upton claimed the NRLW’s top honour at Wednesday’s awards night.

The Broncos fullback finished with 35 points, three votes clear of Brisbane teammate Julia Robinson.

Newcastle No.7 Jesse Southwell finished third on 31 points.

Widely considered the finest player to ever feature in the NRLW, Upton scored 19 tries in 12 games this year to lift the Broncos into Sunday’s grand final.

She also led the NRL for try assists and line-break assists, announcing her return to the top tier of the women’s game after also winning the award in 2023.
