SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Wednesday in the Bay Area calls for a chance of showers that will bring light, beneficial rain throughout the day.
Daytime highs will be in the 60s to low 70s at the coast, high 60s to mid 70s around the bay, mid to high 70s inland.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service say light rain will linger across the Bay Area on Wednesday as a slow-moving cold front about 200 miles west of San Francisco stalls offshore. Showers will stay mostly light, with up to 1 inch possible in the North Bay coastal mountains, a quarter inch across the Bay Area, and a tenth of an inch along the Central Coast.
According to the NWS, thunderstorm chances remain under 10%. The rain, spread out over the day, is expected to help ease fire risk.
