Ahead of Dasara festival, people in large numbers were seen heading towards their hometowns from the city, packing the bus stations and railway stations on Wednesday.
The rush which started on Tuesday itself, peaked today with more crowds thronging major bus stations, including Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station and Jubilee Bus Station, to take buses to their native places.
Also, families with children were seen flocking to Secunderabad, Nampally, Charlapalli, Kacheguda and Lingampalli railway stations to
board trains. Despite the overcrowding causing inconveniences, the atmosphere was still lively, with a sense of anticipation and excitement among travelers.
