PAWTUCKET – After calling Pariseau Field its home for nearly a century, the St. Raphael Academy football team is settling into its new digs at Max Read Field this season.

And while the Saints experienced their share of fond memories on the gridiron that neighbored McCoy Stadium, they didn’t waste any time in creating a new one in their home opener against Cranston West High last Friday afternoon.

Junior quarterback Tashaad Brown had a game that he’ll always remember, as he fired five touchdown passes, including one to his classmate, Brendan Cardoso, with 22 seconds to play in the game, to help lead the Saints to a wild 32-27 victory before a large gathering on their Homecoming Day.

Brown completed 13 of his 17 passes for 275 yards, and his favorite target was junior Onassis Soriano, who
