POLAND, Ohio (WKBN) - The Village of Poland wants to extend a trail through the community.

The project would install an 11-foot-wide, off-road, asphalt multi-use path along the east side of Sheridan Road. It would extend an existing trail near Delaware Avenue to the Poland Community Baseball Fields.

The project would also add new curb ramps and make sure the trail complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as apply new crosswalk lines.

Construction, in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation, is scheduled to begin next summer. It is expected to take several months.

During construction, one lane of traffic in each direction will be open at all times, and flaggers will be used. There should not be any closures or detours.
