Taking it slow: It’s looking increasingly likely that Republicans will wait out Ohio’s congressional redistricting process until November, when they are no longer constitutionally required to get Democratic support to pass a new map. As Jeremy Pelzer reports , an initial Sept. 30 constitutional deadline for state lawmakers to redraw Ohio’s 15 congressional districts passed Tuesday without any sign of an initial map proposal from Republicans, who hold 10 of Ohio’s 15 congressional seats but are under pressure to increase that number.
