PARMA, Ohio -- Parma City Schools last week tweaked student attendance rules at Byers Field football games.

The district announced all elementary and middle school students wishing to attend football games at Byers Field must be accompanied by an adult, who is responsible for that student’s behavior.

“Generally, what we were seeing was an increased amount of our elementary and middle school students, primarily middle school students, just being dropped off at the gate unsupervised,” Parma City Schools Superintendent Scott Hunt said. “They would be in the stadium, in the stands, kind of running and having their way.
