A 44-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle crash in Hamilton Tuesday night, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said.

Officers were called at 11 p.m. after a collision between a motorcycle and a transport truck on Upper James Street.

Police said the motorcyclist, from Port Dover, was southbound on Upper James when he "collided with a northbound transport truck making a left turn" onto Highway 6.

Police said the motorcyclist was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No other injuries were reported, police said, and all lanes have since reopened.
