Police pursued a stolen vehicle driven by an armed man wearing a Dodgers jersey on Wednesday morning.

The pursuit started around 5:50 a.m. near 9th and San Pedro Streets in downtown Los Angeles, a LAPD spokesperson told KTLA.

“The call was later upgraded to a stolen vehicle and a man with a gun,” the spokesperson said.

Units chased the car, a white Toyota Avalon, along the 110 and 101 freeways until the driver exited at the 101 Freeway Normandie Avenue off-ramp.

It is believed that, while the driver was on the 110 Freeway, he threw a weapon out of the vehicle. Officers were said to have recovered it and also possibly recovered another weapon that was thrown out of the car onto a surface street. • Early-morning stolen vehicle pursuit leads to armed man in Dodgers gear being taken into
