PLAQUEMINES PARISH, La. — Governor Jeff Landry says he has been in contact with state transportation officials and State Senator Pat Connick regarding on Tuesday.
He encouraged residents to stay tuned in the coming weeks for a relief plan in a social media video post on X.
"This morning I met with Senator Connick and DOTD leadership on the Belle Chasse Bridge tolling situation," Landry said." I know that many of you are frustrated."

Gov. Landry blamed the current toll issues on a poorly negotiated bridge deal made under former Gov. John Bel Edwards.
"Let me first remind everyone out there, that the problems that are going on with thi
