Mumbai: Navi Mumbai is preparing to welcome its long-awaited international airport next week, with the official inauguration confirmed for October 8. The announcement, made by Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Wednesday, marks a landmark moment in India’s rapidly expanding aviation sector.

The development comes on the heels of a critical clearance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which earlier this week granted the project its aerodrome licence. The approval has effectively paved the way for operations to begin, bringing to fruition a project that has been in the making for more than a decade.
