(Cleveland)-The White County Sheriff’s Office is advising about a scam. A sheriff’s office social media post said, “Our office has been made aware of a scam where callers are contacting employers, asking for individuals, and then claiming those individuals have an active warrant for failure to appear.”

The post said this is NOT coming from the White County Sheriff’s Office. It is a scam.

The sheriff’s office advises if you receive a call like this, do not share personal information. Instead, hang up and contact their office directly at 706-865-5177 if you have any concerns.
