IOWA COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in southwest Wisconsin are reminding drivers to slow down after catching two motorists traveling at more than 90 miles per hour late Monday night.
According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office, a night-shift patrol officer clocked a Polaris Slingshot traveling 105 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputies said the driver not only lacked a valid license but also failed to register the vehicle.
“When you don’t have a valid driver’s license and haven’t registered your vehicle, maybe it’s time to slow down,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a statement.
The driver was cited for speeding ($515.50), operating while suspended ($200.50), and non-registration ($175.30), totaling $891.30 in fines.
