VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A Chesapeake man has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison for a 2024 wrong-way DUI crash on Interstate 264 that left multiple people with serious and permanent injuries, prosecutors said.
Colin D. Stolle announced that 27-year-old Davian Isaiah Wallace was sentenced to 25 years and 24 months, with 17 years suspended. He will serve eight years and 24 months in prison. The sentence was much higher than the Virginia State Sentencing Guidelines’ recommendation of no more than three years and five months.
Wallace pleaded guilty back in June to DUI–reckless–victim permanently impaired (two counts), DUI–reckless disregard–victim serious injury, DUI, and driving on a suspended license.
