At least three people have been injured in a shooting at a Starbucks outlet in the Laval suburb of Montreal, Canada, on Wednesday.

According to Laval police, they received a call around 10:30 a.m, local time, when the Starbucks, which is located in a busy business complex on the side of the highway, was filled with people.

The police also confirmed that they are conducting an operation near Highway 440 and 100th Avenue.

Christopher Skeete, a Member of the National Assembly of Quebec, urged people to avoid the area.

“I urge citizens to avoid the area and know that I am monitoring the situation closely with my colleagues,” he said on X.
